Would you like to experience differently? Road tripping is one of the new ways you can experience the beautiful side of Uganda either on a guided trip or self drive vacation. To have the best road trip experience possible, we have compiled the ultimate road trip survival kit for you;
- Contact Phone Numbers
All Uganda car rentals have roadside assistance numbers to assist their broken down passengers and vehicles. Make sure you have the number at hand in case you have used a rental company.
- Have a Camera with you
Uganda’s tradition dictates that all people who road trip around this country must stop and have a photo taken with any attraction. These big things are located on most major highways marked with clear signs for example tourists who visit the western game parks do take photos around the equator.
- Move with Sunscreen
This is essential when touring Uganda by car. Car travel is a fantastic way to get burnt especially on hot days. Hands Arms Faces and the tops of the knees are the areas generally effected so a simple application every few hours will ensure that the rest of the trip is comfortable.
- Have a Map or GPS with you
It makes sense to hire a map or a Gps with your car as it will make navigating your way around a strange destination with in Uganda or town a breeze. This will not only save your time but also the fuel usage turning to this and that route.
- Pack some Toilet Paper
This should be obvious though it looks funny. A roll in the glove box is highly recommended.
- Pack enough Water
Either for passengers or the vehicle, it’s just a smart thing to have on a long trip. If you are about to embark on your first road trip with a group of friends just a couple of ground rules at the start of the trip will ensure that you are all still friends at the end. Do not plan to buy it on the way, just pack it from the beginning because some Ugandan routes have not shopping centres along especially in the very remote destinations.
- Ensure your car has provisions for Music
Most hire cars today have a CD player so a CD of your fave driving songs is ideal and a road trip sing-along is heaps of fun. Good song selections have a positive effect to fuel your mood while road tripping in Uganda
- Cross check your tool boxes if it has all the necessary equipments for your rescue in case you get a vehicle break down while on the Uganda road trip. At times the tool box may be available in the care though missing some items! Be careful
- Stop, Revive, Survive
Finally, don’t forget the most important thing on a road trip is to stop, revive, survive and you never know that little stop may introduce you to your next amazing experience and keep you safe for your next road trip.
Do not over exhaust yourself and friends on the road. The journey will be boring.
